I have put a number of the teachings found in the Book of Mormon to the test to see if they work. Like finding a place in my heart for the words to grow. And later, after continuing to let it have place, experiencing the joy as the word expands and becomes delicious and I know it is true.

I have come to know of the truthfullness of the Book of Mormen by study and prayer, it teaches faith, patience, and charity. But most of all it teaches of Jesus Christ, and calls all men to Have faith in Him. this is my testimony It is true.

Hello,

I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. MY story for conversion is a lot like Joseph Smith. Throughout my childhood I visited many churches all claiming to be the right church. All putting down other church's even though they were preaching from the same book. It was so difficult to know anything about what was right and what was wrong. The only thing I knew based on the experiences I went through and the fact I survived them was that I loved Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I loved hearing and learning all about our father in heaven but I hated the fact all the people in most other religions did was "talk". They never seemed to act based on the principles they taught.

Growing up I had seen the door slammed in many a missionaries faces so i knew the church well. I went into the church with very bad preconceived notions after a friend invited me. Being the person who loves the Lord like I was I went with her. I just wanted to learn and any church which was willing to allow me the pleasure of hearing about someone I loved so much couldn't be that bad. But what I felt from the moment I walked through the doors was so much different than any church I had ever been to before. Upon getting to know so many Mormons their love and devotion to our Heavenly Father became more and more beautiful. The teachings in the BIBLE and Book of Morman was a part of their EVERYDAY lives and that was always something I found missing from other churches.

So I ended up reading the book of Mormon and taking lessons from the missionaries. I took what I now know as the "Mormon Challenge" and I prayed night and day about it's truths. I had already had my answer in my heart to the validity of the church and the words of the Book of Mormon (a companion to the bible) but I still felt the need to pray. Over a period of about 2 weeks I read and I prayed. With each word I read my testimony grew stronger. Father in Heaven answered my questions through strong , devoted, honest prayer. I know without a doubt that anyone who goes to him with an open heart wanting to honestly know the truth will be told.

My mother in law has recently started reading the Book of Mormon. She is very much a skeptic to everything but has seen the many blessings her son (my husband) has been given from the time he joined the church and wanted to know more. She calls me when she puts the book down for the night and asks me "how is it that every time I read a page in this book, even the bad parts I feel so at peace" Each time I tell her that Heavenly Father is enveloping her with his love as she reads guiding her towards the truth and I instruct her to pray. I encourage everyone to request their own, read it and pray about it.

the bible itself is sufficient. we are not to add or delete a single word from it and we are not to try ro replicate it. God himself is the author of the bible. which other book do we need?

Well I know it is true- How do I know? Well about the age of 19 I decided the entire church was a fabrication- I was a frequent visitor to the anti mormon sites- And pretty soon the most simple gospel concepts were lost to me.

Suddenly free from rules and regulations- I proceeded to do every single thing I have ever been taught not to do. In short order I dug myself into a hole so deep I thought to myself even if there is a God not even he can't get me out of this...

I did everything i wasn't supposed to, and distanced myself from God as much as possible. Then when I was at the lowest point any man can be at, I cried knelt down on my knees and asked God to save me from the mess I put myself in-

In utter amazement when I was done praying I was perfectly fine. I can't explain how much of a miracle it was since I can't really explain the utter mental agony I was in. Alma the younger is really the only comparison I can give.

I went from being in a hell I thought i was never coming out of, to complete peace of mind. People that say miracles don't happen any more, well they do I have experienced them.
