AboutTheMormons.com is a site created by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which is more frequently known as the Mormon church.  While the church does not officially endorse the site, its principal content is provided by faithful members of the Church itself.

The purpose of About the Mormons is to provide uplifting and motivating spiritual content and educate the world about the basic beliefs of members of the church.  If you would like to know more about the church, be sure to visit www.mormon.org.

There are three basic ways you can get involved on this site:

1. Share an Experience…
Unlike the two pages explained below, the “Share an Experience” page is a place where you can respond to a number of different questions/prompts posted by AboutTheMormons.com. Questions are chosen from ideas posted on the “Ask a Question” and the “Suggest a Topic” pages.

These questions will allow you to expound on previous experiences you have had with the church whether you are a member or not.  Choose which categories you would like to share about and check back every Sunday afternoon for a new topic under which you can share your personal testimony and experiences.

2.  Ask a Question…
On this page, anyone from anywhere is encouraged to post a question directed to members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, better known as the mormons.  All church members who visit the site are encouraged to view the posted questions and respond to them on this same page or, if they need answered in greater detail (more than one comment), on the “Suggest a Topic” or “Share an Experience” page. Please keep answers to posted questions simple and concise.

3.  Suggest a Topic…
This page, while similar to the “Ask a Question” page, is for thoughts or ideas that need further exploring.  If there is a particular topic you would like to learn more about but can’t find words for a specific question, here is the place to voice your opinion.  Please keep in mind the purpose of this site is not necesarily to discuss extremely complicated doctrine of the church. It is simply to inform, motivate, educate, and inspire those who are curious about the Mormon church and what we believe.

For members of the Church – Share the Gospel
This site is an opportunity to share with the world the blessings you and your family have received from our Heavenly Father.  There are a few simple things you can do to help spread the word about this site:

1. Tell at least two friends (one from the church and one who needs the gospel in their lives) about the site and to visit and contribute.
2. Provide links on your personal blogs and websites to help promote traffic on this site and invite others to come unto Christ.
3. Visit the page frequently (especially on Sunday afternoon) to update your thoughts, contribute testimonies, and answer questions.
